Happy Holidays! The Glen Cove Adult Day Program is looking forward to an exciting holiday season full of celebrations! As we deck the halls in preparation of Hannukah and Christmas, we realize how fortunate we are to spend our days with the wonderful seniors in our program. ADP has a variety of in-person entertainment acts scheduled for December, as we will be enjoying special holiday festivities throughout the entire month. Our program's holiday party is planned for Tuesday, December 21st, and we are especially excited for a visit from Santa Claus!

The fundraiser hosted by our neighbors and friends at the Glen Cove Sunrise Assisted Living continues, and we are so thankful to those that have purchased granola to support the Glen Cove Adult Day Program! The generous staff at Sunrise has worked to create their very own blend of granola, which is pumpkin spice and pecan flavored, and the proceeds will go directly to the Glen Cove Adult Day Program. Please reach out to the Adult Day Program for more information and to make a purchase before the fundraiser ends!

The Glen Cove Adult Day Program continues to work with various organizations to incorporate different programs into our schedule, including the Stony Brook Carriage Museum and the Nassau County Museum of Art. Our intergenerational partnership with the Long Island University at C.W. Post also continues, and although we are saddened to see our current Art Therapy graduate student move on later this month, we are looking forward to meeting the new nursing students that will be joining us in January! They will work with our group to improve our health by leading movement activities and sharing educational lectures. Our Zumba and Tai Chi classes also continue to be conducted in-person, and we are still regularly visited by our certified therapy dog, Blossom.

The Glen Cove Adult Day Program wishes all of our families and friends a happy and healthy holiday season, as well as a prosperous New Year! We look forward to making more memories with everyone in 2022! We are so grateful for the ongoing support and love that ADP has received throughout this entire year, and we are thrilled to be growing and thriving.
